I guess my thing is, with the chain you can take out another link. With these bars it’s one setting. That’s actually why I went with them because I thought it would be easier for me. So I had the trailer one ball adjustment above where it is now and it was more like 2.75” of squat in the rear. I measured before and after. With the ball all the way down and trailer leveled exact im at 2” of squat in the rear. So it’s better. But there is no adjustment to use those bars more.

Getting ready to leave on the 3rd leg of the journey here in a little. It starts out hilly (as upstate NY has a good amount of hills) and then flattens out in the middle of the day.

I just have to remember to take it easy and try not to cook the transmission.

Did you ever get that scan tool we discussed?
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Shouldn’t overheat. But then agin it’s a Chevy.

Just occasionally keep your eye on temps.

I couldn’t. I had an issue with my debit card and gave up.

It went up to what worried me, but I had to be in the gas this time. It ended up going down while still on it. So I’m not gonna stress.

Does it have a digital display for trans temp? Watch that and know that Ford and GM don't consider transmission temps under like 240 too hot.

As long as it's not shifting consistently you should be fine. Are you able to lock out like 6th? One of the things I love about the way Ford does things is they set it up so you can use a toggle switch to lock out gears counting down from the top gear. If it's bouncing between 5th and 6th I push a button and it won't shift into 6th unless I push the button to allow it again.

I can’t find the digital read out. I will prob have the fluid changed when I get back anyways.

Made it to 3/4’s. We stay overnight. Easier on the kids and parents…this time also the vehicle.

At least he would not have to worry about the transmission overheating then

Dunno what you guys are on about with the Chevys. My Avalanche towed my trailer and Spyder on it all over the country several times with zero issues, towed camper trailers all over, broken down offroad trucks on my trailer, boats, snowmobiles, ATVs, Seadoos, all kinds of stuff. Never an issue at all.

I’d buy Ford truck before I bought a Chevy.

Meh, the Ford trucks aren't perfect either.

I'd buy either. Drove everything from a ranger to a f350 crew cab long bed for work over the years. Personally owned 3 silverados and a ram. Gm has always been good to me and the most comfortable. Ford I have a lot of respect for, hell of a work truck.

I'm joking really I think Coop is overreacting and I'm just playing into it with my brand preference.

Well I am 3.95/4 way done. Dropped the trailer off at the in laws and am going to do a ozone treatment on the car in the trailer and possibly wash it before I bring it over.

I also think I’m gonna ask to drive down my next door neighbors yard and over to mine, unload at the bottom of mine like planned. But more to come.
