It fits my personality fun but business like. It was less than the Civic Si even after the max care with less miles. Going to take it to the dealer to have it inspected before the 30 days are up.

Got the GTI inspected today... I'll likely be taking it back to CarMax because it had obvious signs of being "Stage 2," downpipe, FMIC, tuned, etc.

Currently leaning towards ordering a 2022 GTI hnoes:

Technically how it sits now is smog legal, of course some shops don't understand an aftermarket replacement intercooler is legal. Just more concerned with the potential abuse it's seen.

2022 should be about $31.5k with the DSG, or roughly 10k more.

$10k is a fair margin more on a $32k car.

Like I said via text last night, if CarMax will honor the warranty including the aftermarket parts, then I would lean towards keeping it. If there is going to be any question though, I would dump it.

I tend to just assume mods=abuse

The other is its still technically covered by the factory power train warranty, and vw is known to blacklist cars with a mod history.

Wasn't really planning on many mods. Rear swaybar and wheels/tires for Auto-X.

Decided to return it
