Getting the Lexus. Turned down the aftermarket warranty. Getting it for 60 months at 5.2%. Prob will refinance to 7% and more months. This will be 400 some a month. That’s just stupid.

If the wife’s car wasn’t in the shop, I might have time and I’m sure I could figure it out. But just today I had to get the kids to school, get them back and swim lessons only to go get all my stuff because I I am reading at my youngest kids school tomorrow, and then swim lessons and piano lessons for the oldest tomorrow. And to work Wednesday.

Like my time is taken. I get fleeting moments. Am I capable. Sure. I did one on a Celica, a Honda, and my vr4. I could. I just can’t because of time.

Yeah it's just stupid now. My truck is over 500 a month with 50% down and 1.9%

I am at 6% on the truck, $500/month payment. Paid cash for the vette. Once I pay off some other stuff I will be paying it off early.

Wait... Refinance to MORE months and a higher rate?

Talk about throwing money away...

So I had all intentions of showing you how much….but when I did the math it’s like 5k more. I might keep my payment. Even though that 5k more would be over 2yrs more. So 2,500 a year wouldn’t seem like a whole lot.

Yeah, it's dumb to pay all that extra interest, especially if you can afford the $400.

If I were rich I wouldn’t have bought a 2017 vehicle with 80k miles.

This is going to make me sound like a Dave Ramsey fan (I'm not I hate that guy), but if you refinance to 'save' money monthly only to pay $5k more total for the car you'll never be 'rich.'

Was given the lot so it would have cost the same to build anywhere.

Both have a purpose. It’s really 4k as the original loan is 2k and the refinance is 6k. It’s correct. What needs to happen is I just pay some lump payments to try and get it knocked out quicker. On the plus side this would make both her and my car paid off at the same time. If we could hold out after that it would be nice to have 800 extra a month for a couple years.
