Yea unless you use them for a trade I wouldn't spend all that money. Id rather get a wrench in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2" for that price so i could cover all my angles.

I can spring $260 for a torque wrench to use on a $4000 built block lol. I kept my last one for 10+ years

I still need to get a smaller one for inch lbs and such for cam caps and similar. Mostly worried about headbolts and it would be nice to have angle as well

Meh my $100 or so dollar torque wrench did just fine on my $4000 long block. If you're using factory head bolts the angle gauge is nice but unnecessary considering it's 90° each pass. It's really easy to do by eyeball. I wound up getting head studs and then it's just 3 passes at increasing torque values of ARP's spec.

doing ARP studs. Havent done them on a subaru, but again its something i plan on keeping for a while. lifetime warranty on the icon as well

I dont trust my brownline anymore, and the display is kinda hard to read from a brake fluid mishap. I think its time to replace it before i start putting the STI engine back together.
