I concur with that being a good look for the truck.

248.6" total length I believe.

Will be longer once I finally get that bumper put on.
Mine is listed as 244" without rear bumper... so we're basically the same length lol
Duck Vader wrote: Tue Jan 09, 2024 12:35 am Looks like our trucks are the same width, but mind is 40" longer. I also have the big two mirrors though and it sits a LOT higher.
Pretty much all trucks since 08ish have been just under 80"
Since when did they start measuring trucks without bumpers. Lol.

It's actually more recent that they started measuring them with bumpers. Going way way back a rear bumper was usually an option on trucks so their length was determined without the bumper.

What kind of stupid car company would make a bumper optional?

Easy now. Pretty sure they are required on all vehicles for crash testing purposes. All of mine came with bumpers. However I have removed them all to look like that. ;)

Depending on the year only front bumpers are required

FWIW, my outback doesn't have a standard rear bumper anymore. Factory hitch requires removal of it. So basically it is just a hitch back there now with a bumper cover over it. The rear beam sits in the garage now. Not sure if they are required?

The beam is what actually provides the function of the bumper. Strange that a factory hitch would require it's removal, unless the hitch now takes over that function.

I signed up for a 72 hour pass to the Ford service website. I can get Oasis reports and detailed build info in addition to service manual stuff. PM or text me VINs or other requests if you want info.

The Oasis report is basic build info, warranty coverage, and any open recalls or service campaigns. The build info is kind of like the RPO lists for GM vehicles. Nothing super useful or exciting, but could be handy to have.

That's cool. I have other things I'd rather spend the money on right now though. I've got a lead on a couple of cheap center consoles. Just need to make up my mind on color.

One is an all black floor shift console. That would look good now, and match anything I might do later as far as the seats or trying to swap to the black and red special edition interior. But I'd need to buy or make the storage bin where the shifter would go. Or I could just convert it to floor shift, which I'm also thinking of doing.

The other one is a gray column shift console. So it's got the bin, and it's the 'correct' color for my interior.

I'm really leaning towards the black one. It helps that it's $50 cheaper.
