By the way, love the color.
Thank you! Crazy how it matches the Miata. Wasn't planned that but it works. Originally wanted white but the color has really grown on me.
Modern trucks are expensive... What's even more hair pulling is how well they hold their value. You don't save much going used unless it has crazy mileage or a salvage title. ...or its the end of the month the dealership is desperate to sell units....

The Ridgeline lasted 12 years and 203K. If we get that out of our new truck, I'll be content we got our moneys worth.
Yep I know paid $24k for my 2013 F150 Lariat last year. Should have it paid off in the summer.

I put $5K into the Ridgeline in the last year just trying to keep it going.... That's just in parts with me doing all the labor.

You know how a $50K truck seems expensive but then suddenly seems affordable when you're spending $500-$700 a month in repairs?

Hah your 200K story of the Ridgeline is what I fear about the Caddywagon.

Oh and I really like that color.

Considering most OEMs put their life of vehicles at 100-125k, getting to 200k before things start falling apart is getting to nearly double the life. As a note, most OEM requirement for components is they last 3x life of vehicle (at least a lot of our test requirements are setup that way). But that will be an "average" life, not a severe life.

I like my diesels and all but something funny that isn’t discussed much is how much longer gasoline engines are lasting now. I feel like that disparity in lifetime mileage has shrunk a lot. If anything the rest of the vehicle starts to fall apart before the power train.

Think you mis-understand. While the timing was inconvenient, we were extremely happy with the truck.

I hate the way all modern trucks look save the Ford. Why are they all so ugly?

I think gmc looks best, then Ford, then chevy, then dodge, then Toyota, then Nissan.

Yeah I’m really happy GMC did a better job with their styling. Funny how Chevy’s front end ruins the rest of the truck.

Nope, just saying 200k without major issues is not industry norm, and meant it was a good vehicle.

Nice lookin' truck! Congrats!

The diesel has to be sweet for pulling trailers.

Thanks Matt!

So far, all I’ve done is hook up our camper just for the fun of it. Not going to pretend that I didn’t notice it was there, but the truck didn’t have issues accelerating, maintaining speed, no sway, no sag, rougher roads are smoother, nicer deceleration thanks to the trans auto down shifting to aid in braking with the engine, integrated brake controller doesn’t hit my knees and I really really really like GMs trailer light testing feature.

Need to get new tires for the camper so I’m waiting to install the TPMS sensors which also link to the truck. It’ll show real time tire pressure and temps which will be really nice for the long trips.
