Re: LIFE Is Short...Buy THE Car.
Been out of the state for the 4th and finally back to spend some quality time with the car. I started to play with the SRT track modes and stumbled across this? Think that is accurate?

Head out towards Fallon and test it out

Only 117?! That seems super low.

Re: LIFE Is Short...Buy THE Car.
I've decided to tackle some of the theft items that made this car venerable to attack. Lets label the problem, or deterrents:
- GPS tracking. Solved with Airtag
- Capturing key fob signal and repeating it. Solved with Faraday pouches.
- Transmission release lever. Used to push car away and ultimately finish stealing or towing.
- OBII port hack. TBD but have a couple idea.
I tackled the trans release lever this weekend. Its the same for all Challengers, Charger, and 300's i believe. You remove a coin holder and you get instant access.

I decided to install a security screw and use some ingenuity to solve this problem. Now i have my own one off solution. The alternative was a plate that blocked view and would make my car useless if it needed a tow. Mine is reversable if you know the sequence.

You locked the lever down?
for the obd issue ive been thinking about getting a 16 pin male and female plug and cutting out the obd plug. splicing in something similar to these (think radio adapter harness) and keeping the actual obd plug on hand. plug it in when i need it.

obviously far more expensive than is needed. can do 2-3 separate plugs and just have the same result. ultimately idea is to get the OBD plug out of the car and have a couple random plugs there that they wouldnt recognize or have. to top things off maybe install a dummy OBD plug and wire it to pop whatever is plugged into it.

Yes, I've locked the lever down and hid the tool to remove it in the vehicle elsewhere.
I like your idea for the removable OBD port. That's a lot of extra work but a good idea. I really like the idea of hiding the OEM unit out of the way and leaving the dummy one exposed. Maybe hook a high voltage capacitor to it and...ZAP!
I've been considering using some of the OBD locks on Amazon. They're like $20 and some seem capable. Or maybe something else home built.

Something you pay for when your car is with more than $10 *hides*

I like those wheels.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Took the kids to the pool this weekend and saw another challenger in GoMango Orange. Also noticed the back window louver. I kind of liked it in a 90's retro way.
