I will say the springs didn’t move like that when new.

If you look at the base of the spring it looks like they’ve taken a lot of abuse and cut a good bit.

Here you go Aaron. There is basically zero movement up and down or back and forth when moving with my hand. I can not hold back the OS when turning with it on a gear.

The sound the clutch makes really makes me think it was the issue though. Just that ticking. But any thoughts are always appreciated.

I would say the clutch is a good bet. The rest sounds like typical Getrag rattle to me.

Talked with chris for a while today about clutches. I think I found the one I’m going with.

Thank you for your help.

ACT is a good choice. I picked up a clutch for mine that ill need to install. Honestly cant remember if i grabbed Centerline or ACT. Was one of those.

Because if the eBay clutch disk you have is starting to cause issues, I'm sure the eBay pressure plate you got with it, is not going to be too far behind. Don't want to do this all over again a year from now....

Well the pressure plate is from the spec V clutch I had that I stripped out the splines. If that helps?

Best practice is new disk and pressure plate. Why leave old worn parts in that only have a shortened life span and may be causing problems? Start fresh with proper components.

How many pressure plates have you all heard of failing? I remember one where a finger broke off.

Yeah? Honest question, how? What brand? What did it do when it failed as far as driving?

They also get warped from harsh heat cycles and general age. That affects engagement, wear patterns and life expectancy of your clutch.
