Truck yeah! Dirty Snow Edition

Re: Truck yeah! Dirty Snow Edition
They need to be bright red and nearly the size of semi truck flaps.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

I really don't understand why mud flaps are not more common here... standard equipment back home.

I think each state has their own rules/regs for them.

I like mudflaps always have for some reason. We put a set of RokBlokz on the outback and my WRX came with rally armor flaps so we're all covered now
Re: Truck yeah! Dirty Snow Edition
That's one of the first things i put on my vehicles. Especially since mine see the elements. Just put some on the wife's new car and even the Stealth has the OEM ones.

Truck has them. Subarus have the "wilderness" ones. Vette or course has nothing.

I missed this comment before... Not on the interstate, local highways. Some are limited access like a freeway or interstate, but mostly its 2-4 lane road with limited stoplights, but not limited access. Here is the route... https://maps.app.goo.gl/PxFCNPEM2vYU14E18

We have a lot of those out here too. 60-65 mph "highways" with lights near busier areas. There are parts that go from simple 2 lane up to 4 lane divided highways, but they still have lights on the divided part, but many miles between.Chris GTO TT wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 6:38 pmI missed this comment before... The right rear shocks looks like the seal blew out on it. It's coated in oil and left a dark oil spot on the floor of my garage
Re: Truck yeah! Dirty Snow Edition
Shocks are easy and cheap. That’s a good spot to have a leak. Unlike diffs or engines.

They’re even easier on a brand new truck that’s under warranty still…

Re: Truck yeah! Dirty Snow Edition
Is that warranty, or is it considered a wear item?
Hopefully they'll fix it regardless since it's cheap and easy, but I could also see them citing wear or abuse or some other such nonsense.

Re: Truck yeah! Dirty Snow Edition
At 6 months old and 4000 miles it should be a warranty item.
Re: Truck yeah! Dirty Snow Edition
itll be warranty.
ive put clutches in under 12/12 warranty. after that they consider them wear items. granted when she came back 1200 miles later with another blown clutch she had to pay. the car sat in the back lot for 6 months

Horrible. Unreliable. Time to trade it in and get something good.Chris GTO TT wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 2:34 am The right rear shocks looks like the seal blew out on it. It's coated in oil and left a dark oil spot on the floor of my garage![]()
