Wonder how long it will be until there is a lawsuit due to someone getting completely blinded by reflections.
I never thought about that but I could see your point.

I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

I've been reading that they're having a hard time converting reservations into signed sales. Seems like when you deliver the product late, with missing features, a ton of flaws, less capability and a higher price, in addition to your vaunted Techno King turning full-on far right whacko, that tends to turn people off. Reservations started in 2019. People who only put theirs in last year are already getting the call to finalize their order. Some people who had multiple reservations are getting calls to finalize a second one.
At least they got a nice interest free loan from their cult before they torched all their good will.

Yeah none of this is surprising at all. Did you see the Whistlindiesel video on it? I mean he destroyed it like he normally does, but he broke the frame/rear bumper off trying to tow an F150, which is significantly under the tow capacity of the truck...
Same here. I just assumed it was more of his jackassery and not really reflective of any actual flaws on the truck. Not that I think cast aluminum is good for anything with an alleged 11k lb tow rating, but WD's entire reason for living is to destroy shit.

If you watch his video closely. He smacks the rear bumper very hard as he departs off that huge pile of logs. Doesn't help that he backed right back up into it as well at a fast speed. I believe the culmination of that and any other jackassery not filmed fractured the aluminum frame.

That definitely didn’t help, but the hitch was connected to the truck more like a unibody truck. And he did all the same stuff to the f150 too…
The Tesla truck weighs a lot more, so all that weight smacking down on that hitch would be that much more inertia for it to absorb. Also as much as they tried they didn't take the exact same path, so partly bad luck as well.
It would have bent if another truck. It broke on his. It’s actually quite scary.
Coop
P. S. I still want one.

Went on my regular walk last week and ran across these in a somewhat abandoned parking lot. Never seen so many new Tesla's parked in one place.
