Car tools

Post by DCIV »

I always keep a small box of tools in all vehicles. They seem to help more often than not, even if not for me.

Do you all? Which one do you use? Anything more than sockets? Pliers?

I do not. The only time I kept tools beyond a screwdriver in a car was on long trips in the Stealth.

I have nothing really. Only place I would really need it is at the cabin and I have a lot of tools there (and have added a few car specific things like battery charger/jump starter etc... and a few survival things so I can go without power for a time).

Tire change tools. I also take a code reader on trips away from home. I'm probably not going to be able to fix anything more complex by the side of the road.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

I guess im alone here. I have tools in all of our vehicles. I tend to add some extras for long trips away, but simple ratchet and socket set, screwdrivers, pliers, zip ties etc. My ram is pretty well loaded with tools, but with the RamBox's it makes it easy to do so.

Old photo. Bit more stuff now.

Depends. Vette nothing more than a portable air pump and tire kit.

Outback. Off road recovery gear. Straps. Crescent wrench. Screw drivers. Hammer.

F250. Same as outback but also air pump, hi lift, chains, various hitch attachments, hatchet, pry bar, etc.

I guess I should add that when we're taking the travel trailer out I do assemble a more complete kit including my electric half inch impact and other tools I might need to make repairs to the trailer.
