Engine stand
I need a couple engine stands but don’t want to spend an arm and leg and don’t want cheap ones. But I have two engines and want to put them on stands OR. What is a good way to store them?

Buy some HF furniture dollys. I had an engine on one of those for quite a while and it was fine. You might need to add some wood or minor metal bracketing to get it to sit the way you want, but it'll be just fine for storage. I'm still using one for a spare 4L60 I bought for the Hummer.

I like Jeff’s idea. Easy to move. And I have some already. I guess I wish there was an easy way.

Sit it on a $17 cart and push it into a corner. How much easier do you want this to be?

Re: Engine stand
I've got the cheap HF one and a couple real nice ones. Hung a big block Ford off the cheap one with no issues.

This. It’s a couple bolts and what I do. Fits inside the collapsed engine hoist.Chris GTO TT wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 11:38 pm Just disassemble the cheap harbor freight one when it's not in use![]()

Ive put them on the rolling wood carts and engine stands. Just depends on your needs and how much they weigh.
