Just one more reason to get a new one.

I've asked the dealership for their best itemized price on these two trucks:

https://www.corwinfordreno.com/used-Ren ... 8XNFB88785

Hopefully they make me want to drive over Donner pass tomorrow

I like the blue one (other than the cloth seats) but the appliance is clearly more your style.

Also - am I the only one who finds that whole step up into the bed thing in the back ridiculous?

I could see the bed step being useful if you were going up and down frequently. Like if you were loading and stacking a bunch of small boxes by yourself or something. Other than that, probably not.

With all the work I have done in trucks (farm days and now) I never wished to have one.. I find it really odd hah. And over complicated.

The tailgate step is really nice for us short, overweight, out of shape people. So it makes sense you don’t understand it Frode.

Also be careful going over the pass, especially if it’s snowing bad, word is whole parties get lost there.

Those are both nice trucks. Im torn as i like lighter colors but shorter beds. lol. Both are great though. Hit me up when you get in town. We can grab a bite or you can swing by the house if want to hang for a bit.

Looks like rain/snow for today through monday. Its a warm cell, so snow might only be up high (like above 6 or 7k feet). Check the Cameras before you go but if you take your truck you should be fine in 4x.

BTW if you need to borrow the tow dolly for the return trip its ready to grab. Ive pulled several F-250's over that pass with it.

Current round ...

https://www.echopark.com/car/1FTEW1E49KFC29749

Or

https://www.carmax.com/car/24764046

The blue F150 is almost exactly what I would have built but it's $2400 for Echo Park to ship it to my local store. The F250 is here at my local CarMax I currently have it checked out for a 24 hour test drive. It has the muffler cut off and a straight pipe welded in its place :disdain:

I just realized the blue F150 is in Denver so I could fly in and pick it up for way less than $2400.

I was using the F250 to run John around to a couple of birthday parties today and a couple of hot starts (after sitting for 10-90 minutes) it cranked for a very long time before starting. A couple of forum posts indicate the fuel pump needs to be replaced. Fortunately it did that for the CarMax manager when I dropped it off.

Me too. I'm honestly torn between the two. I think I prefer the blue truck's looks, price, and its easier to add tow mirrors too because it doesn't have the 360 Cameras. On the other hand it doesn't have much warranty left. Only like 7 months on the power train.

The white truck is the same white as my current truck, basically equipped the same as the blue truck (for the given year). The biggest plus is the "Gold Certified warranty" 7 years or 100k on the power train, and an additional year or 12k beyond the 3 year 36k warranty.

Even after factoring in shipping the blue truck is still over $8k less, I could easily get the Ford ESP and still be like $5k under the white truck...
