Garage clean out. Need input on old 3S parts.

Post by Jeff V. »

I'm finally trying to get rid of all the old 3S stuff we no longer need. There's certain pieces, like flash ECUs and aftermarket gauges, that I know have some value. But it's the rest of the random crap that I'm wondering is even worth the trouble of listing.

Stuff like stock fuel injectors, random brackets, old clutch and flywheel assemblies, etc. This isn't about money at all. It's really just about time and value to other people, and getting rid of it as responsibly as possible. But I don't want to waste my time and effort just to have someone screw me around over $25 in shipping charges for something I'm willing to give away.

So what do you guys think? List only the most obviously worthwhile stuff, and put the rest in the scrap metal bin? Or try to list it all with the caveat that I will ghost you if you start screwing around?

Also let me know if I should post the list here. I'll give you guys first shot at it if you're interested.

Post them. I still want a chance at the euro gauges.

Random brackets, clutches, flywheels, exhaust tips, lights, wiring harnesses, etc. None of this is pristine by any stretch.

I still own 2 so I might be interested in some items. Sadly I don’t enjoy them as much as I used to.

2 glass sunroofs. Go for a pretty good price on ebay.

I got a bunch of shit at my other house to get rid off. Sigh. Including two full doors. My dad went a little crazy back in the day before I met Jeff...

I've got my own piles of 3S spare parts that I'll need to deal with in the next few years too. But if you have a Spyder rear window glass... ;-)

I wish I could help. Did something happen to yours, or is it just a precaution?

Post the list here for sure.

A lot of that stuff you could probably sell for minimal amount plus the cost of shipping if someone was interested. And like you said, if they start fucking around, just ghost them.

No, nothing happened. It is just that one piece that I worry about sometimes.

That reminds me. I've got two MUT2s, one MUT3, and I might still have a DRB2. Those will definitely not be given away.

I've got an MUT2, MUT2+ (bigger screen) and a Chinese MUT3. I bought the MUT3 from Toni. I think I used it once. :(

I'll have to dig the 2s out and see how complete they are. I've even got some of the dealership Medic software. I never got it working well enough to try updating the cartridges. I think they're both near the final release version though.

Probably not. My shop size is getting cut in half. We're dumping a bunch of parts for all various reasons. Hopefully with the new organization efforts, we will get back into really moving used parts. We used to sell a ton before the 3SI staff decided to axe me. But, for now, space is super limited so I'm not trying to accumulate more shit.
