Yep. I'm trying to contain my excitement because it will probably have some insane $20k markups and I won't be willing to afford it.

Yeah, it's Toyota's answer to not bring the GR Yaris here.

That's pretty cool. I'll be surprised if it's in the low 30k range though. I'd expect it to be closer to Focus RS money.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Yes, I have read about this for a while. I also agree they will not meet that price point but if they do then I’m in.

Meh
To me it's just more of the same. Another performance hot hatch. I'm ready for something different.

Yeah I'd expect mid to high 30s for the base model, and low 40s for the top model. That's right inline with where the RS and STi were.

More of the same? Hot hatches are not common in the US...what do you want more of, muscle cars and high performance SUVs? Another 700hp+ 2 door coupe that's 80 grand?

Another? This makes 4 now? (Golf R, RS, CTR, and this) I have trouble including the Civic in this class as it's only FWD.

Agree. Low 40s for the top level.

Re: GR-Corolla ... Do want!
It just looks so... Meh... I can't explain it. I don't care if it has 800 awhp or 2. It's just yet another hatch to me. I've been really really bored with newer vehicles for a long time now.
I'm sure it's a great car but does nothing for me.
There is no new vehicle on the market that makes me swoon.

Yeah Civic Type R is like it's own. Cause you had the GTI, Focus and Fiesta ST, and the Veloster N as FWD hot hatches too.
But the Type R doesn't fit in with those, or the halo hot hatches with AWD either

Though I will say that exhaust looks dumb in my opinion. Not sure how adding another exit reduced backpressure on a turbo car, but hey

I don't think it's any smaller than a standard Corolla hatch back?

I love it especially if it's half as fun as everyone says the Yaris GR is.

Re: GR-Corolla ... Do want!
Reviews are coming in and pricing is official. I'm definitely interested but not sure what it'll look like with dealership being dealerships.

I think the Core+Performance Package is what I'd like.
