Looks like my order status is up to 3400 now, and the car should get built the morning of 7/23. With any luck, I should have it early August.

Yeah, cool that they are finally going to announce it. I think that'd be a little too high-strung for my tastes. I don't want to have to rev it to the moon to get power out of it, so the regular Stingray should suit me just fine.

I'd also not want to get a first-year version of a new Chevy motor. Their track record for reliability on the upgraded motors in Corvettes hasn't been super-great.

The car got built last Thursday, so now I just wait for it to get shipped to my dealer. I'm hoping this week or next, but they are kinda all over the place on shipments. Can be a few days, can be a month or more.

Silver Flare Metallic for the body color. The roof and nacelles will be Carbon Flash. Seats and interior will be a two-tone gray and black with carbon fiber trim. Pretty much all the goodies.

Well, if it doesn't get delivered to my dealer today and he tells me they are waiting in western WI, I've seen truckloads of them right down the road from my at the truck stop for an overnight stay. I could just roll it off the truck... My financing is already in place, just need to sign the paperwork. lol

The dealer status page they sent me yesterday had an ETA on it of 8/7 at 5:53pm - so it may be that there's a lot of stops on the way (Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, etc.). Nerve wracking for sure.
