I've got Autocraft (Advance brand) Platinum batteries in both the 3000 and the Lancer. The Platinum is the AGM battery. Doing the buy online and pick up in store option using a discount code and Speed Perks I was able to get them each for around $100 IIRC.

Finally got around to doing the parasitic draw test after letting it set for 50+ minutes. Here is what I'm seeing...

That draw isn't necessarily significant, but may want to perform the full parasitic draw test to see if there is anything in particular causing a draw.

220 ma is very high. Should be below 50.

You pulled every fuse and it didn't change? With the truck stone cold is the alternator warm? (Usually takes a bit more but I could still see it.)

Pull the main power cable off the alt and recheck

Haven't gotten to the interior fuse panel yet, waiting for it to go back to sleep.

Wasn't one of the 2 fuses I was expecting and one of them woke up the truck when I put it back in.

Interior panel is likely fed from the engine bay maxi fuses. I'll have to look at the diagram to be sure but that's how Ford usually does it.

Start with fuse 29 interior fuse box.

I did confirm you still have to wait 45 minutes. The dash lights (white ones) are turning off right? A bunch of floor shifter issues for draw concern.

I went after 18 and 28 looking for that exact issue

The white dash lights staying on?

Fuse 29 is the audio control module. Second most common cause.

Nope they go off. Although I'm not sure my multimeter is working correctly now, and I pulled the battery entirely and found the sticker. It is 4 years old so I'm going to replace it just to be sure. Now I just hope forscan will work with my Bluetooth OBDII reader so I can reset the battery management system.

Just buy a wired one from Amazon. Go to the Forscan forums and find the one that is recommended. They’re like $20

Auto parts store tested the battery and said it was bad. Bought a new AGM one because I'm tired of leaks from nonsealed batteries. Bought Forscan for my phone and my old OBDII reader works perfectly! I'll probably pick up the laptop version later.

I think you'll be pleased with the AGM. My 3000 fires so fast. It actually startled me the one time because it fired even before one full crank.

Funny story. I still have the motor craft battery from my old 2011 work f150. Still runs great and powers the Mad Max. ;)

Good call.

I thought you had already had it checked.

I put an AGM in the Cayenne a couple months ago. It would die after 3 days previously (with the 1 year old super start that was in it) so far it's sat for 2 weeks without a problem. The AGM battery was a good 10lbs heavier too
