I don't mind the S or the X, but I wish they did something different with the front nose. The flat surface "nosecone" looks horrible. It was more appealing when it first came out with the black trim "grille".

Still might trade the Volt in on an X next year. Waiting to see if the full self-drive autopilot is worth a shit or not, and if it actually is active by the end of the year like Tesla claims. Their "summon" feature seems pretty underwhelming. For $7000, it really needs to do something.

Read an article about how it basically completely fails at being a truck. Like even the most basic things like being able to tie things down hah.

Why is that tailgate so high? That’s so useless.

It’s also got worse blind spots than a H2! Garbage!

Come on. You all know better. It’s not a truck for truck people. It’s a truck for coop and jason people who want to “never” haul 10k but want to be able to, but don’t wanna spend money on gas, and want to have new stuff.

No one is going to a job site in this, no one is going muding in this. I am sure there will be picture of the one or two people that end up doing that, but it’s not gonna be a die hard fan of those things.

I think the novelty on this is going to wear off quickly.

German experts are claiming the truck will be illegal to sell in Europe due to the front end design. Oops.

US also - I don't think you can have high bumpers anymore, so as to not ride up over lower car bumpers in an accident.

The more I read about it the more I think this is nothing but a gigantic PR move by Tesla. No production capacity and a joke of a truck? Yep.

Considering that they still need to build the "Y" and the Roadster, and their production capacity isn't that great yet - you are probably right. They'll miss their dates for sure at a minimum.

I just read that they're having to classify it as a medium duty truck. So regardless of how rigged the F150 tug of war was, it won't be competing with that truck anyway.

We're well into 2024 and it's finally on the road, with less capability and a significantly higher price than was promised. The dealer by my house had about 16 or 17 of them last weekend. It's not as big as I expected. My truck is lowered, and it's still slightly taller than the Cybertruck. The air suspension may have been dropped down though. Overall it's roughly the same footprint as a full size crew cab truck, but it doesn't feel as bulky since it doesn't have the huge squared off front grille and super tall hood like most of the recent gas trucks have.

The reviews aren't joking about the edges being sharp. The panel fit isn't as bad as the pre-production models, but it's still pretty rough. Even Vira was pointing out the inconsistencies from truck to truck, and she's not normally someone who scrutinizes stuff like that. Most of them were gone within the first couple days. They still have one that I think they're using as a demo. It's been sitting outside all week through some heavy rain. It's already looking blotchy and ugly.
