Whenever you use forceful and overt verbal persuasion to try to convince others to see things your way, they're probably not listening to what you say, Instead they're looking for every error in you your logic and mistakes in your facts, all the while constructing counterarguments. Worse still, they don't merely believe you're wrong; they need you to be wrong in order to protect the status quo. And since the final judge exists in their own head, you lose every time. - The Influencer
Is the level of bullshit you have to go through to change things in a direction you want, less than than or equal than the level of current bullshit?

We already have a spare engine, trans, transfer case, intercoolers and all the related plumbing. There's very little we don't have as far as useful parts go. 1G brakes and driveshaft won't do us any good. Having a spare rear subframe would be nice if I had gone through on my plans to rebuild and modify the one on my R/T, but that's no longer relevant. The steering rack would be kind of nice, but we don't need it.

The only reason I want the knuckles is because they'd be cheap, and they take up very little space. I could use them if I ever went through with the CTS-V brake swap.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Have not been able to find the time to put them on!!! Tentative to put them on this weekend. All the machining is done, just gotta get the time to drill the holes to mount them!

So I was at the yard this weekend and found a 3s that had gotten there just a couple days ago. it was a 95 SL. Well the whole engine top end had been taken apart and sorted in labled baggies in the trunk! it was neat. THen sorting through that stuff I found a great set of Taylor Made Plug Wires, like $98 new! Then I found the stock shifter. So I check and sure enough he has a $120 3sx short throw shifter installed. THen I was about to leave so I check the passenger side seat and in the floorboard is a set of 3sx solid engine mounts that look brand new. Scored it all plus the ptu $60.

Nice finds. I was happy to snag a 3sx pulley for 9 bucks sunday off of an SL. Saw these the other day...

First time i had ever seen this.

Jeff i noticed this one and thought of you. Looked like a normal DOHC case. Number engraved in the case is 7784.

This is where it gets weird. He managed to retrace the circuits on the board. You can see it in the middle of the pic. Also has new caps too. What circuits was he attempting to circumvent?

I'm overdue for a visit. I don't really need anything though. It'll take something special to pry my wallet open now. The black dash from the 97 GT is the last non-critical thing I even thought about buying.

Those transistor clusters drive things like the ISC if I remember correctly.

Interesting. Wonder if the leaky caps caused that or if he was trying to alter it.

I've been meaning to post these.

Pretty sure this BMW went swimming.

I doubt any of you can top this.

Most of the interior was stripped bare, but the hydraulic cylinder and most of the antenna mast was still intact. It was pretty cool.

Probably repairing the fried circuits after a shorted isc motor took them out.

HAha, now that you mention it that SL had a 3SX aluminum pulley too. Did't grab it though.

We're long overdue for an update here.

3000GT, with bullet holes.

Image

The mirror may have been shot off, as well as the rear quarter window, side window, and hatch glass. There was a sticker on the windshield that said "hold for inspector". No signs of blood, but I didn't exactly look very hard.
