I did it. Last Friday, I finished up the front, and did all of the rear.
Wasn't any worse than I thought it would be, also wasn't any better.
The 2nd time I tore in there, I came prepared. Bought a set of cold chisel's, and had a couple packs for the 19.6 volt charger ready to go.
Drilled 4 holes in a square pattern all the way through.
After I did that I chiseled out an X between the 4 holes, and most of the middle pulled out after that. After the middle was gone, I started chiseling at the edges, until huge chunks would come off.
The most annoying part was getting the chunks small enough so that you could actually get them out of the hole.
Thanks to those that threw me tips.

Re: Gutless Cats
I HATED gutting my rear cat.

Good job doing both of them, I went the cop out way, only gutting the rear and then getting a DP that eliminated the front.

Re: Gutless Cats
I remember gutting the rear. I never plan on doing that again for the rest of my days. It was pretty close to hell on earth.

Re: Gutless Cats
I was always told it's a right-of-passage with these cars..
Screw that, I'm getting downpipes.
