Now I am really confused.... I set the setting to "OFF" for the boost controller so it should be using WasteGate pressure but its still letting me hit over 1 bar. I havent unplugged the selonoid yet to see what happens when I do that but it confuses me.

Then you must have some kind of vac leak to the wastegates OR some kind of wastegate issue. I'd look into that ASAP.

Yup, definitely routed some lines wrong or there is a line off.

I have always loved the HKS boost controllers. They are one of the easiest to setup (especially with a dyno) and have always been ultra reliable to me in how much boost I want to run. I've never had any overboosting problems and have run my wastegate hoses in stock configuration.

It was too cold to look at this weekend. The odd part is everything was working fine with the stock controller. I think its just the line length. I notice lag changes when I play with the gain so i know its functioning. I think the issue is just the length of the hose. By the time I get spooled up to my mark the controller cant shut things down fast enough and it hasnt learned how. I was going to play with it this weekend and move the new selonoid to the factory location but it was too cold and my garage is cluttered with stuff for replacing the windows. One project stopping another at this point. Hopefully next weekend. Until then I just have to keep my foot out of it.

I switched the lines on the selonoid which should have caused me to have no boost and I can still hit 1 bar. Next step is to relocate the selonoid to the factory location temporarily and see if that makes a difference. I will also test with the selonoid disconnected and I should be on wastegate pressure then.

I moved the selonoid to the stock location and it works a hundred times better. I was able to get the boost to not max out in first, have second almost in check and 3rd is good as well. I didnt think about it until now but the problem was probably caused by the different diameter hoses. The stock hose is so much smaller and they dont allow the same pressure so the larger diameter is allowing more volume at a lower pressure. Anyway, things are looking better now. I hit 16psi with no nock, when I hit fuel cut i had 6 counts of knock on the deceleration.... could be knock could be something else from the cut. I hit it just to see if i did get knock since I dont log all the time.

I have it working a little better. I played with the lines... which one goes where.... After much work I have it handling boost much better. I need to tune it in so it gets back on target faster. Right now I have it on the lowest boost setting and duty cycle of 45% and it will peak out to 1 bar at WOT and if I let up a little it reins back in quickly to the target setting of .20bar

I figure if I give it a few good pulls and some tweaking I should get it to maintain a safe boost. It isnt as hard a pull as it was before because it wasnt controlling the wastegates correctly. Its still better, cant wait to get some fuel mods so I can let those turbos go all out.
