Found a tool

That I don’t have that would be useful and always just make it work.

Pipe slug sockets. I have a lot of taps. And I’ve tried 6pt and 12pts and I always end up with that tool it comes with and handle. I hate it. I was taping some aluminum and put the tap in the drill. That was nice but when with steel it just would end up turning in the chuck.

Anyways. Anyone ever use pipe slug sockets?

Nope. Can't remember ever needing them.

It’s only when using the taps but man it’s annoying using that handle thing I have. As it has 4 square options. So each one is off center. So when ever I use it I feel like I’m not going strait.

The reason the tap and die set has a T-handle is to ensure you have even pressure. If you use a standard ratchet or wrench it's much easier to side load it and tap it at an angle. Now if you're just chasing threads that's a different story.

I agree. I honestly don’t want to use a wrench but more use a drill. I know they make other t-handles but mine has 4 and was off center anyways.

i have a set. havent broken an extension since when pulling diff or trans fill/drain plugs. no hole in them for the ball/spring so theyre stronger than half an extension being in the plug.
