What part would you need me to do? Seems like all the fabrication stuff is well within your skillset. I do have some CAN documentation that is significantly more complete than his. :suspect:

I'm jealous of his desk setup. His 'box of Explorer" is also a hundred times nicer than anything I've made. That's the same BCM and gateway I'm using.

I'd love to have something like that for my WRX but I have neither the skills nor the time.

this looks good as well damn. the features on this one are way more polished. Every time im interested in this i always find the available options suck but there are always one offs like this that are actually good that people keep to themselves

Damn. I expected the obligatory Github link in the YouTube description. I can help with the signal analysis part of it, but I don't have any of the skills to make the interpreter board or housing. :sigh:

Remind me, what year is the Forester? If the existing dash works of CAN this might actually be possible.

I can't find a Forester pinout right now, but the 02 WRX is all analog. :(

yeah the cluster itself is from what i remember. I think most of the stuff is available over OBD2 though. Honestly ill probably just do Realdash or one of the other ones.

OBD is clunky for that kind of thing, but if it's the only thing available, then you really don't have much choice.

Here's another good one. ESP32 is super popular. Maybe you could put an OBD front end on that?

i mean if they can make a logic analyzer based on a pi pico surely something like a PI5 can work with some ADCs or something to take analog inputs. I could maybe build a board to plug into the factory plugs and route the signals, but my hardware deisgn would stop there lol.
