Kids racing karts

Post by DCIV »

I sat in on a zoom meeting about kids autocross karts. It’s a longer process to let them do it. They have to go and watch an event to see how everything works. Then they have to have a watch event when no one else is there and they just drive to see if they can handle it. And then if so, they can race autocross when hosted. Kids get 10 runs in the morning, 10 runs in the evening, no one else on the track when they are going, but it’s good for the kids.

They need a metal frame cart with a small HF engine. I was hoping they would let me go electric as there are some fast karts for that but they are also able to turn down. Add to that it’s just less wrenching for me.

These seem to range from 800-5000 depending on what you want.

They have to have a helmet, neck brace, race jacket, and then jeans and shoes.

Anyone else ever looked into this?
