I’ve been looking at these 360 camera views and lane changing. Why not ones where they are already built in?

Assuming they even bolt to the door in the first place, what are the cameras going to connect to?

Plenty of the head units have video in. If I wanted that 360, they have controllers you hook cameras to.

Are they digital or analog? Where do they get power from? Are they 12 volt or 6 volt?

As an example, I'd like to use mirrors from Chris' generation of F150 because they look better than mine and they fit with minor trimming. But I can't, because the cameras won't work and that's something I really want to add.

I can't even swap between to extremely similar Ford trucks that are only one generation apart. You're not going to get a factory camera to work with a random aftermarket radio in a truck that's 15 years older than the system you're trying to install.

just buy the kit with the cameras, usually they install under the side mirrors
