Weird cars at the new office

My employer recently moved us to a new office. It's a pretty generic suburban office park. Several buildings, lots of parking. Nothing too exciting.

When I was leaving yesterday, I noticed these oddballs sitting along the route out of the complex. They were still there this morning. Only one has a license plate.

From left to right, we have a Mercedes 190E, a Nissan Pao, an Audi coupe that seems to be built for rallying (note the cage and huge light pod) and whatever that red Mercedes is. The ass looks too long to be an SL-class. I don't know what else it could be though.

I might go for a walk later and see if I can get more info.

Sounds like you have some people you need to go find.

I showed a coworker and he think it's just someone in the neighborhood who needed to move them while he cleaned his garage out or something.

That is a very interesting mix of vehicles for sure.

Walked over and got a better pic of the Audi. It's beat to shit. Both of the Mercs were kind of rough too. The Pao looked nice though.

Now it gets even weirder. 3 of the 4 had "KC Moto Library" stickers on them. I googled it, and didn't come up with much. The first hit was interesting though.

I have no idea what they do.

Check this out. I sent the photo to Vira's dad, because he's sort of into old Audis. While we were talking, I googled "Audi coupe rally car". And this came up near the top of the image hits.

It sold on Cars and Bids in January of last year. Winner? KCmotolibrary.

I think someone has a bidding addiction.

One of the commenters on C&B claims his father built the car for his uncle to race in SCCA. He was trying to track it down. I emailed the pictures to him and said I'd leave a note on the car if he was still interested.

I wonder if that LLC was created to bid on cars? It was created Dec of 2021 and those auctions were won on Jan 10 2022…

An Aston Martin has joined the motley crew. Early 2000s Vantage maybe.

Someone parked at our building has a really tasteful 2nd gen MR2. Red, bronze wheels, Wilwood brakes, tastefully lowered. I need to find out if it's someone here. We've hired a few new people lately, and we're getting big enough that I don't know everyone anymore.
