Jeff was right.









2012 Ford F250 Super Duty XLT.

Just over 37k miles on it.

Airlift suspension in the back.

Bakflip cover.

Full weather tech floor mats.

Clean and completely rust free.

6.2, 4x4 w/ locking rear, 8 ft bed.

Needs tires, back up camera fixed (it's there, just not working), tint, and upgraded radio.

Towed my car back just fine. But once I got home the low tire pressure light came on in the car. I'll have to check what one as I forgot to look at the numbers, before I turned it off.

Truck was $31k. Got them to meet me halfway home so I didn't have to drive and paid $27.5 for it.

Nice truck. My work truck was identical except it was the short bed and white. The 6.2 does great towing and the 4x4 function works great with locking hubs. The motor is pretty solid but get used to 12 mpg. I think I bested 14mpg on several occasions.

Let me know what you think out the rear suicide doors.

I don't care about mpg. Won't be putting that much mileage on.

My last two chevys had the sucide doors. Not a big issue. Ideally a crew cab would be better but in reality the 8ft bed is better for the business and I didn't want a crew can with 8 ft bed.

Trying to figure out what tires I want to put on. Some great all arrounders would be great. Mild off road, deep snow, hot dry summers. Thinking 305/70/17. Thought 315 but I've read they rub sometimes.

It really is the first thing I noticed.

That and I’ve been looking at the spring air bags to help the wife’s Tahoe on the trip to NY tow, and later in the avalanche. Soooo that too.

If the intent of the truck is towing and hauling I wouldn't screw that up by making it a brotruck

No lift or anything. Just looks really silly with tiny tires which need replaced anyway. Also would be nice to get a little more ground clearance from the bigger tires if I take it off road at all.

Have you had a car with WeatherTech mats before? Those damn things are slippery when they're wet. At least the ones in the Hummer are. I have to be really conscious of how I plant my foot before I step up into it if it's been raining or snowing.

Yes I've had them before. They are slippery for sure.

Husky floor mats seem to be a hair better. Bought them for the wife’s Tahoe and she didn’t wanna keep them but they are less slippery than my weather tech floor mats in the escape.

Looking into it, tires, thinking 285/75/17 falken wildpeak at3w load range e. Same tires as the Subaru but the needed load range for the truck. Should be narrow enough for the 17x7.5 rims and right around 34" tire.

Not entirely sure what head unit I'll get. Would like it compatible with the steering wheel controls, android auto, possibly the sync USB port, and capable of back up camera in case I can't get factory to work.

What was the story with the "seepage" ?

Waiting on clarification on what seal but one of them was leaking. They shuffled stuff around to make sure it got done last week. Told them if they don't get it fixed by yesterday I'd walk away. They agreed to fix it.

Said simple fix just lots of labor/time consuming.

Trans to transfer case seal maybe?

I think this is great. I’m jealous and love it.

That's what I'm assuming.

Long bed is long.

That said those tires are just so small it looks ridiculous to me. Also speedo vs actual mph is off a bit. Actually going slower. So increase in tire size would help.

I agree. The wheels do look ridiculous. The rest of the truck looks good though.
