Where do you draw the line?

Post by DCIV »

With modification?

Just saw a 4g that was welding the heads coolant passages and filling the block and to me…yeah that’s cool…but that’s where I draw a line.

Like when a car can’t drive more than 1/4 a mile at a time, is it even a vehicle? Things that can go farther are the cars that put their wheels way out there at angles. Trucks that squat the back only. All of which are stupid.

I don’t know….I guess someone enjoyed it but it’s so so so specific that it almost ruins it for me.

What about you? Where is the line?

Do whatever you want.

Except stance a car or Carolina squat a truck. That is stupid, and you are stupid for doing it.

Would that include those vehicles which tires stick way outside the body? Or even lifted to much?

Those can go farther than a filled block drag car. While the squat may be very dangerous….the stance (while still dangerous, but not as much) could drive around. I’m just basically saying are only drag cars even vehicles anymore? If you did the squat or stance on a track only should anyone care?

I don't care what they do. I'm just not a big fan of calling it a "DSM" or whatever. It stopped being a DSM a long time ago. Now it's just a purpose built race car that happens to share a silhouette and s few engine traits with a street car. It's no different than a NASCAR Camry for example.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.
