This is all because of the in-laws, not me so I’m sorry.

My girl use to have this cool Bugatti electric car. It had a remote, different speeds, radio….my girl loved it.

Well when my other came along and the brother in law also had one they bought my oldest a used mini mouse cart and gave the other one to the younger kids. Well to be honest the new one isn’t as cool. And it’s used.

Enter dad. The battery just isn’t holding a charge and it’s slow anyways. I wanna make it a little faster. Anyone done this yet? I think all I need is the plastic top for my kobalt battery.

Just want to be able to make it work and then have a little more fun to make it run with her old one and with a project with dad she will enjoy the car more.

I just put in 2 batteries in parallel in my son's truck. It has a built-in speed controller so I didn't want to blow it out and have to rewrite it entirely.

You had that much room? I would have to put pretty small batteries for that.

Yeah in his truck there was a spot for a 2nd battery

I just need to know if the voltage stuff, which one would work. I found a site that sells everything. Seems like the motors will only last a day at 24v and they are on borrowed time at 18v. So if I just ran 12-16 it would prob be just fine. They don’t run them much.

Yeah I've seen a few on 18v and they fly. Honestly it's too fast for the why the vehicles are built. Between that, the thin gauge wire and the built-in speed controller on ours I decided to keep the voltage at 12.

I just want it faster than the other car and a better battery.

Best bet is to wire up the batteries in series for 24v and then use a moped speed controller to set a voltage limit wherever you are comfortable. You'll get more range and more speed.
