I think my amp to my subs has quit. I havnt had it working in some time after the whole carputer and new head unit. Decided to hook it up, getting power across the fuse but speakers never make any noise.
Its just a pioneer 200 watt bridge able amp. Powering two no name 8s
Who makes an okay small amp that I could buy that really isnt expensive.

No name speakers, China head unit, 400 miles a year if I’m lucky. I just want them to go bump bump and last a while.

Went with a Walmart amp. Speakers go bump bump now. Butttt, my other amp is prob fine. My trigger wire where I tapped might not have been tapped well enough.
New amp lights were not on after plugged in. I have one of those plastic wire taps, squeezed it with a pair of pliers, it came alive. Tempted to return but at the same time…eh.

My Hummer was loaded with those garbage vampire taps. I ended up having to get a new steering column harness because it was hacked up so badly. Everything I do gets soldered.
One of these days I need to source a good kit of OEM style copper crimps.

What do you all do, use a razor blade and cut out a little section, wrap the wire around it and solder it? Then put black electrical tape over?
I really am not that good.

Pretty much exactly that.
Except I use shrink tubing.

How do you use shrink tubing on a 3 way? Just bring two wires up one way? I know this all seems so basic but I would do it wrong. I really would.

i dont often use shrink tubing for stuff like that. 3m super 33 and then tesa tape, sometimes a zip tie for extra security depending on what it is.
