Replacing my 03 cobra

Post by vr4 »

Found something last week. Guy offered to deliver for free if I paid asking price. Supposed to be bringing it Thursday.

Bank wouldn't loan the cash (apparently I don't make enough) so I pulled the amount I asked for out of my account instead  seriously. Sometimes the policy just doesn't make sense.

18k mile 03 cobra that I owned for 10 years. Exactly 2 weeks after shipping it over it gets stolen. Kind of a bummer.

I hope whoever did this to it got hurt.

The post is deleted but I grabbed a screenshot yesterday so I could run the VIN from the plate.

It's a roller but has full interior and the proper cobra steering rack, spoiler, fuel tank, canvas top, and uncracked brake light. Those items alone are worth more than he wants for the car.

So you're going to take the remains of the red car and swap them into the black car?

Exactly.

This car has everything I need that was damaged on mine except the driveshaft. He said he will find me one. If not there are aftermarket carbon or aluminum options. It wasn't advertised as having one but he did say he will give me one with the car.

Only other parts I need were already on the upgrade list anyways. Heat exchanger (probably use a gt500 one) and intercooler coolant tank.

I still remember the first time I ever saw and heard the svt cobra. Wanted one so bad. Then my wife's step mother bought one and couldn't bring myself to ever buy one because of how much we hate her. Lol

Saw that one a couple weeks ago. Cali has really cracked down on the terminators. Pretty much every one is being sent to the ref. Even gauges will cause a fail.

How in the hell are they failing a car based on gauges?

Not sure how a gauge can cause a fail, but they did start checking for modified tunes. That’s sending a lot of people in. Basically fall out from the crackdown on the Diesel emissions delete.

No idea but quite a few people on svtp said they returned everything to stock but left the gauges in.

Fail.
