Less Fun Than You'd Expect

The other thread had me thinking since I couldn't come up with any that was more fun than I would have expected. You must have driven the vehicle yourself.
One that did pop into my head was a car that was far less fun than I had expected. It was a 2006ish GT500 it felt way less violent than I would have expected. It was kinda boring.

I'll get hate for this.... but... my vr4.
Was it fun? Kind of. But coming from a family of high hp v8 owners I was left feeling disappointed and was glad to unload it. Not as fun as I hopes.

I'd agree with it. My VR-4 was never what I expected or wanted it to be.

If you expected a VR4 or an RT/TT to be a sports car, you would be disappointed for sure. If you were expecting it to be a grand touring car, then for the time period, it was very good at that.

Yeah but it leaned too far touring to me. Course I also came from a relatively light weight torquey rwd coupe

Ya. Wasn't really wanting a touring car. Between the weight, it not really being fast, break downs, awd not letting me have fun, etc it ended up being a let down. Bought it on a whim. Lol

Yeah and the Starquest wasn't really a Grand Tourer in the sense I would say.

Completely agree. First (new) gt500 was disappointing. 03 cobra was violent and would make you piss yourself. 500 was just meh.
Now the 2020 gt500...I haven't felt that excited about a car since I first drove my vr4 before I knew what fast was. Holy shit that thing is brutal.

I didnt even finish reading your question and this one came to mind. Sisters in-laws have one still. They bought it new and even did the Super Snake mod. It sucks. Their Corvettes are faster and frankly most 3s' are faster.
