Dont know what it actually is but its fabric. The edge had it, my escape has it, and the Tahoe has it.
Anyone have a good way of cleaning them?

Re: Felt wheel well liners
Our Silverado has those, and has been through mud. The easiest way to clean is to take it to one of those carwashes where you wash it yourself with the pressure washer. Soak the felt with the foaming soapy wash cycle, let it sit for a little bit (soak the other 3 wheelwells), then hit it with the high pressure rinse until it is clean.
Or the next time you drive in heavy rain it should clean itself off.

Best way to wash them is what has been said. Basically wash them like floor mats.
