Who remembers this thing? They took a stock engine and just lightened them car to the extreme. I think they were even taking out internal metal flooring at one point. Had a half sized radiator. The list goes on and on.

I was just curious, what ever happened to it? Did they go to far? I always liked the concept of it, just lighten and race.

I don't recall much of the details, but I thought it was big promises and never delivered.

He ran pretty fast for stock and lightening things. I think he said at the ends he was gonna go something like dr1000’s and didn’t.

This was the one where they stripped everything out, and put in a fancy fuel cell in the back, and were promising some big power numbers and put on some $10,000 paint job or whatever and then just didn't finish the car, right?

What pretty much only 3 people ever delivered with the 3/S: Matt, Ray, and Trevor. You could also make an arguement for Nelson, but he talked a lot and Ray is the one who actually made much of his projects happen.

There are some others who delivered too. Mark Wendlandt's car was a strong contender for quite a while when he was active. Ninja Chris was in the mix, though that car was always running on the ragged edge and encountering a lot of problems. Jesse Rink had a really well-built example of a 3/S.

Jack T. delivered early on - first Mitsubishi in the 10's. His car later on was badass too, but frequently had issues under pressure.

Adam pushed for a while as well. The auto x guy you helped pushed differently.

There are so many I’m forgetting from the start. Matt, and Ray just kept doing it as they were selling it and living that life. But many built cars, did great but then why go back?
