I wish you would have done this to start instead of doing all that work to the Chevy. At the end of the day, I hope you can quit thinking about it all though, I love cars and buying them but I hate the fucking shopping.

It had just arrived the day before. I was the first to test drive it. Bought it on the spot. It's a bit overwhelming all the features but I'm happy so far. Already put over 100 miles on it yesterday.

Adaptive cruise is so weird. Trusting it to come to a complete stop takes getting used to. Steering assist is a no go for me though. Did not like it.

One cool feature I didn't know they had is the front view camera. Nice touch honestly.

For those that don't know the wilderness comes with a factory lift, skids, enhanced xmode, different ratio for off roading, 9.5 inches of ground clearance, and a bunch of other goodies.

This one also has the only available optional package that includes the moonroof, rear assisted braking, and a navigation package which includes an 11.6 inch HD touch screen display and a whole bunch of tech.

Under the hood is the 260 hp turbo 2.4.

Has special water resistant seating.

Roof rails can support 700 lbs making it great for roof top camping.

Wait. They put the turbo in it? That’s what I’ve been wanting!!! What price was it?

Yep. Started putting turbos in the outback in 2020 I believe.

This one after options package, delivery destination, title fees, etc was just over $40k. Had to pay msrp because it's a brand new trim and in high demand. Was just released this summer.

Yeah the XT returned to the lineup with the 2020 Outback. We contemplated getting a Onyx XT when it first came out.

Lot of people talk shit about the cvt. It doesn't bother me yet. We will see how it does off road. I assume people talk shit just because they want to be part of the bandwagon.

We've put almost 67k on our Outback with the cvt, and we don't love it, but we don't hate the cvt either. Both of us would prefer a traditional 6-8 spd auto, but it is what it is.

There are 2 things currently making me want to go another route when it comes time to replace our Outback, the CVT and the jumpy throttle tip-in.

Ya the throttle takes some getting used to. Have to be really gentle with it or it does feel jumpy/jerky. Cvt feels weird but like you said, not bad or great. I loled when I saw the paddle shifters

Paddle shifters are only useful on steep down hill grades. The main problem I have with the CVT is Subaru considers it a 'sealed unit' and you're expected to drive it till it blows up and then drop $6k on a new unit from Subaru.
