Trailer hitch camera

Been thinking of a simple, stand alone, even battery powered, hitch cam for the avalanche. Something just power and go. Seen a couple on Amazon.

Anyone ever seen one, used one?

I have an aftermarket back up camera that i leave at a low enough angle to see the rear bumper and hitch. It's not perfect and it's not a top down view, but it works enough to get it close.

Is it tied into your head unit? I was just kind of thinking one that Bluetooth my phone. Or even stand alone monitor.

Yes. After 4 YEARS it's finally time to replace the camera. Not because it's not working, but because the lens cover for the camera has yellowed/aged/fogged up to the point you can't see thru it very well anymore.

GM makes a camera that integrates with the stock head unit in our new Sierra. We might get it.
