0 for me.
I've gotten 1 ticket in my life, in 2012, for 22mph over, 57 in a 35. Don't worry it wasn't a city street, but a country road with a low speed limit just so cops could pull you over. Anywhere else in the county it's a 55mph road.

Ive had 3 but my last one was in my yellow 94 TT after installing DR650's and merging from I-395 to I-80 East. Its the perfect slow, downward sweeping to the right onramp. Probably doing well over 100 when I saw a set of lights about 1/4 behind start weaving through traffic to catch up. I had a feeling it was the 5.0 so I just slowed her down. He could only write me up for illegal lane change, total bs. but it was a $45 ticket.
Its been probably 7 years now. Oh and he tried to give me crap about my Idaho plates. Pffft!

In the last 5 years, 1. Total in the last 20 of driving, 2.
My first one was like Aaron's. Back in around 06/07 I was doing 55 in a 35 at 4 am on a country road that ran parallel to the freeway in Wisconsin. I was running late for work, was the only one at the road, so was pushing it. Speed limit was 55 until you got a certain point where it dropped it 35 before going to 55 again. Cop was sitting right past the first 35 sign. I didn't slow down.
2nd one was a couple of years ago here in Oregon. They set up some speed cameras after changing some speed limits. It used to be 40 or 45. I hadn't been on the road in a long time. They dropped it to 35 once business development increased in the area. It is still 40 I think to a point, then drops to 35. I was leaving a parking lot near the intersection and out of habit accelerated to about 45. As I went through the intersection I saw the camera flash. Was like WTF? Then the next time I was in the area saw the newer speed limit signs. Bastards.

It's about to get worse. I'll see if I can find the article, but they used to set speed limits based on what 85% of the people drove through an area. So if 100 people drove through an area, whatever speed 85 slowest people stayed under would be the new speed limit. They are changing it to 50%.

1. In Oregon of course.
Of the 2 tickets I've gotten in the past 15 years both were in Oregon.

F'd up. How do they get this garbage info. Are they leaving areas without speed limits? Say the limits 60 and your percentile stay under 55mph. Doesn't mean the limit shouldn't be more. Just means people stay under it.
What are they going to do next. Make it illegal to pump your own gas?
Oh....wait.....

They put those wires over the road that you drive over. I make sure to speed over them. Lol

That’s still inaccurate because you are limiting peoples top speed. If the limit is already low then how are you going to get an accurate speed? That already points the trend down. Oregon is already famous for having way to low of speed limits.
Don’t miss driving 55 mph on straight highways. Anywhere else would be 70+

Don't get me wrong. I hate it too and they are doing it to lower them more because they believe what we have is already too fast. It drives me nuts.

Lol same. I think I got a pair here at 100+ in a 35. (Before anyone flips out it was an empty stretch with no cars around). Car got there very quickly and I immediately anchored the brakes.

None in the last 5 years. last one was for 45 in a 30 on the tail of the dragon. It's an ordinance though the ticket amount is based on your driving history. Mine was $27. I actually forgot to pay it, and missed the court date. I called a couple days after the date and there was no late fee or anything, just paid the $27 over the phone. I've had two other speeding tickets, one for 69 in a 50 and one for 92 in a 70, both in my early 20s.
About 7 years ago, I got pulled over for expired plate and no proof of insurance. Got my plates renewed that day and did have insurance, just no card with me, so when I went to court for it they threw it out. Still got my car impounded for a couple hours, had to pay the tow fee and a day of storage. Cop was an asshole about the whole thing.
