And I need to know if its true. Some smart ecu people here so maybe you can shed some light. I have heard the ecs computer can fry our ecu. Now that makes zero sense to me, why would that even be wired into the ecu? Ive heard the iac can as well. The iac I can understand but the ecs? Why?

Pin 59 of plug F13 at the ECS computer runs to Pin 2 of plug B-05 which is the throttle position sensor, and to Pin 64 of the ECU.
If I'm reading it right, it looks like the ECS computer and ECU both use the TPS sensor output, so they are connected. Therefore in theory if the ECS computer blows up, it could blow up your ECU.

Would it make your car run bad though?

Yeah, if it fries the input for the TPS sensor or blows the +5v sensor output on the ECU you'll have some issues for sure.

Yeah both computers use the TPS output. If the ECS computer is somehow messing with that signal it could make the car run bad because the ECU is not seeing the proper tps signal.

I have seen a faulty ecs corrupt the tps signal to the ECU but I've never heard of it frying the ECU.

Normally it shouldn't fry it, but if something happens with the 5v regulator on the ECS side and it sends +12v down the line to the ECU then it can burn out the analog-digital converter for that input on the ECU side. I haven't heard of that happening either, but if the ECS computer failed in a horrible way it would be possible.
