Hate working on the wife’s car

Post by DCIV »

Cant even order the correct batteries to swap out the remote. It takes two. I swap them out, can’t close the remote.....get to looking, the batteries are thicker and this not allowing the remote to close.

Anything I do to her vehicle just never goes as planned. It’s annoying.

That happen to anyone else?

You put 2032s in place of 2025s?

It needs 2032 after looking it up for the 4th time. I don’t know what I put in.

We just paid off her student loans, if she wants to go this weekend and get one then I’m game.

Better than adding more debt on top of debt. We at least waiting to pay off one thing before buying another. Didn’t even have to if didn’t want to but we did. Actually get rid of two, her car payment and her student loans, to just a bigger car payment.

Nothing wrong with that.

Will it be factory built with lockers or aftermarket?

IIRC they don't offer the G80 in the Tahoe/Yukon anymore

Aftermarket it is. I recommend ARB. Also may want to go with an Atlas 4 speed transfer case for the ultra low range.

Don't the Atlas cases tend to break transmissions because they are too heavy?

I’ve been only letting her look at the tow package versions, which have a little better gear ratio.

Page 20. It’s offered, have to get the z71, or Texas edition, or towing package.

Basically it’s hard to find what we want but it’s out there. We want an LT with the tow package and second row of captions chairs. Seems like most of those are on the premier edition but I don’t want the extra 10k price tag and those bigger wheels.

Obviously yes. Set of portal hubs will finish her off well.

That's for the Silverado not the Tahoe.

Just built it in chevy's site no locking rear diff for the Z71 package.

Well shit. Guess when it’s out of power train warranty I will fix that.

I think the denali’s are awd and not selectable 4 wheel drive. Not quite what I want. They do have the 6.2L in them though
