Buddy of mine has one. Gonna trade it in and says he will sell it to me for trade in. It has 75k miles. It has the 8 speed trans. He said one of the reasons he wants rid of it is because he worries about the 8 speed going bad.
I read up about them but I cant figure if its hype or real.
Anyone have any experience on this?

It's definitely got issues on the Corvette. But supposedly they fixed it with the new Mobil 1 fluid and the flush procedure. I'd budget a couple hundred dollars to get that done if you do decide to buy it.

That’s exactly what he said. Dealership wants 500 to do it.

Is that the same transmission from the Colorado that was causing problems?

According to the TSB, yeah. 17-19 Colorado with the 3.6L V6

Yes, but like Jeff said the Mobil 1 fluid and flush seems to have resolved the issues.
