What car (or cars) do you just want to drive, know you will never afford it, can’t maintain it, but just really want to drive it!

Mine use to be the farrari testorosa until they tested them again on that amazon version of top gear.

Now I really would like to drive a mclaren P1. I’m sure there are a ton of other.

I know these will be against the grain, but honestly don't really care to drive most "super/hyper cars". They are cool, but there are not many I would want to drive.

That said I do want to drive these:

454 LS6 Chevelle
Audi R8 V10
Lambo Aventador
2020 Mustang GT500

There are lot of other cars that are much cooler, but for a driving standpoint, that is all I actually "want" to drive that I can think of.

Im right there with you! I'd much rather drive cars I could actually afford, but don't make sense to own. Things like a real Integra Type R, BMW 850CSi, E30 M3, etc.

Jesse Rink let me drive his McLaren. Frankly, I loved it - and would consider getting one. But the service/repair costs would scare me away.

I know it's kind of a silly thing, but I lost a lot of respect for that car when Tyler Hoover got done describing the rust on the hood of his. It's a McLaren. Why is the hood steel to begin with, let alone made so poorly that it's got rust bubbles?

I've got a 165k mile GM product that's spent its life in areas with snow and salt, and it doesn't have body rust.

I don't think the hood is steel. Everything on that car is aluminum or carbon fibre, as far as I could tell.

You can get one of those for "reasonable" money. Like I mentioned, the maintenance and any out-of-warranty repair work might be what kills you. $320k car for around $130k with McLaren's extended warranty.

Huh, wouldn't have guessed it has a steel hood. Seems like that rust is a manufacturing defect in that they didn't coat inside the hood. You'd think they would dip it in some sort of anti-corrosion primer or something. Must be raw steel inside to rust like that. Didn't see anything at all like that on Jesse's car.

The NASA Lunar Electric Rover. On the moon.

Other than that don't really care.

About as plausible as what I want to drive.

You could afford and maintain an S65 AMG. The question is how long could you keep it up

I still want to at least drive an SL65 AMG. I don't regret passing up that blue one though.

friend of mine drove his "step-father in-law's"(I think that's the right way to say it) ZR1. he said it was terrifying and that it's basically undriveable on the street.
