Is on your daily driver. The vehicle you would drive out of the state, not the one you got to run errands in. Also, do you feel it’s reliable or need to trade it in?

Mine is my 218k Honda CR-V. I don’t think it’s very reliable anymore. My accord had the same engine and it blew a head gasket at 221k. It’s never had the timing and original water pump. I need something new but newer car prices have become stupid. Resale value has become stupid.

I have 116K I think (around that) on the CTS. Since Beth's BMW is leased we tend to drive my car on road trips (and I always drive anyway). It has been super reliable to me but just started having some small issues with it (automatic door lock on passenger side stopped working etc). It will probably be replaced within the next year, next two years for sure.

Ducati has 8K miles and going up for sale as soon as I can replace a fairing on it.

~54k on the ST. Not getting traded in anytime soon.

~6k on the wife's Explorer Sport, also not going anywhere anytime soon.

Wife = 2017 Soul = 8k miles and on a lease. Once lease it up not sure what we will do. Either buy it or something similar, or perhaps another lease.
Me = 2013 Volt = 57k miles. No need to trade it in. Might do so when the warranty on the battery runs out in a few years and just get another newer Volt. Might start looking at lease options around that time as well.

EDIT: Also, I do feel they are reliable. No problems at all yet except that damn clicking noise on the volt I am still trying to figure out. Would take either across country without a 2nd thought.

Reliability wise I'd drive either of them on a road trip. Comfort wise the Miata doesn't really go more than 40 miles from home unless it's on a trailer...

36k on the Volt, around 58k on the Avalanche. 9.5k on the Stingray, which is really my daily driver in the summer - but I don't usually have far to go.

73k on the Lancer. Rock solid reliable. I'd drive it cross country tomorrow if I has to do so.

Only reason we drive is because of the kid, and our 2 dogs. Dogs cost a lot to fly, and our "big" one (24lbs) has to ride in the cargo hold. It also costs a lot to board them for an extended period, so we (well I) drive.

Well yeah... I'm not saying I would want to but I wouldn't be afraid to.

Hell my s10 is the rattiest looking pos out there. Seriously... You would wonder how it's still on the road.

Over the last 6 years it's been the most reliable car I've had.

Depends on what I am doing and time frame involved. I would much rather drive cross country for 2 reasons. I am too big to be comfortable in a plane for any longer than an hour and I get crazy motion sickness on them so have to be pretty drugged up. But if I don't want to spend days driving, then of course I will fly.

That being said, I would even take my Jeep cross country now as far as reliability goes.

The only vehicle I own that I would be comfortable cross country though is the Volt. Jeep I can only sit in for about 1.5 hours at most. Kia isn't too bad. Maybe 3-4 hours at the very most, but the seats hurt my back. Volt I can do probably closer to 8-10 if need be, but would need to get out to stretch my legs.

Cars I have driven 1000+ miles on road trips are the 96 Chevy 1500, 2012 Mustang GT, 2013 VW Tiguan, 98 Jeep XJ, 2016 Mazda 6, and 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Only ones that were uncomfortable long term were the Mustang and XJ.

*My DD is my work truck F250 with 63K miles. It does great minus having a solid front axle, slow 6.2L, and suicide doors. Probably get a new one at around 150K miles.
*Wifes DD is her Acura MDX. Has 120K miles. That thing has been very reliable.
*My sort of DD...Ram 1500. I drive it once or twice a month now. 15K miles and not going anywhere soon. Love this truck.

I've been across the country multiple times, never as a driver, but still. It's way more interesting in a car, than it is in a plane. Going through the badlands, at night, during a lightning storm is something to behold. You can't get that same show in a plane.

I drove to Charlotte (6 hour one way) and back non stop once. I only stopped to piss and to eat and to drop off my goods at the customer. Other than being wiped (got up at 3am to leave and drove over 12 hours after only 4 hours of sleep), but other than that I would do it again in a heart beat.

I'm not going to get a flight for what I had into gas and food. I also don't have to drive an hour and a half to get to the airport, get there 2 hours early deal with all the airport stuff, pay for parking, and then drive an hour and a half home once I return.

I've done plenty of long drives. I've driven so much it bores me to tears at this point. Hell I drove round trip to IM Lake Placid to cheer on some friends. Time is money - taking an extra day or two off of work costs more than a plane ticket and I can sleep on the plane and be far more comfortable and relaxed.
