Hot August Nights in Reno (56k NOOOO)

Every year Reno hosts Hot August Nights, a massive classic car event. They said there were around 70,000 participants this year. Basically every big parking lot in Reno is FULL of classic cars in various shows/competitions, etc. Some really nice cars. Anyway, I went to a few diff casinos snapping pictures here and there.

The light was changing on those last few pictures and the camera started to use auto settings so it was over exposing. Oh well.

After the first dozen pictures, i changed my pants, by the time I was done, I had to do my laundry!

I just wish I wasnt with a chick who kept bitching about how hot it was/how much time I was spending taking pictures. Or there would've taken days to browse them all.

Bloody females. I blame you tho. You NEVER EVER take a chick to a car show, ever ever! Of course they will whinge and bitch. It means they're spending less time shopping for handbags and shoes!

Somew hot cars there btw. I love those cars with the engines in the back. PNTRA? Is that short for Pantera? IO have never seen or heard of those.

Saw one in town once- I was washing my '72 Duster and the guy was drying it off- went over and asked if I could have a look -guy was all snooty and says "just don't touch it". I get close enough to see that it's a complete mess, and go back to my car. The guy's attitude earned him a complete bitchslapping from my 340 at the light though

Yeah, my stepdad is currently trying to find a pantera of his own. Now hes destracted by an older 944 though.

It is nice having a woman that loves cars as much as I do. She goes crazy about car shows. If we had the money we would have a ton of cars.

Yeah, she liked them, but she didnt want to stand around while I tried to get people out of the way to take pictures. So I just kinda snapped what I could as I went.
