I posted this on 3si this morning, but that it is so difficult to get decent advice. Does anybody know the answer?
Real quick question: do you add grease to the tie rod ends before or after installation?

Aftermarket tie rod ends have grease zerks that take wheel bearing grease. Stockers are sealed as mentioned
No, they should be pre-greased and sealed.
I filled mine when I replaced them. I did it after I put them on as well. :(

Thats true, the boots can be replaced at which time they should be re-packed. I would just replace the whole thing though, rather than going through the trouble of rebuilding them

Grease them after you put them on (if they are the new style with the zerk fittings)

I bought a set from Rockville Mitsu yesterday. They were not sealed like the original. There was a nipple built on to apply lube. Judging by Hans' post, it sounds like Mitsu made a replacement part for the original tie rod

Indeed it does. They should come pre-lubed, but i would pump some in there aftwer install for good measures

It's easier to grease them after you install them.

The revised mitsu tie rod ends DO NOT come pregreased!
