just thinking

So I talked to steve a little bit about this but figured I would ask you guys. I got out my drimmel and was going to port my lower intake mani, mainly because i couldnt hurt anything and wanted to try. Well in the lower intake mani there are holes that goes to the valve cover. Now would it be possible and work just fine if I weld those holes up and just put a breather on the valve covers? Or is this just a dump question?

Thanks
Coop

Are you talking about the Nipple for the PCV hose? I think it's better to have a PCV than a breather filter

Actually, IMHO it's better to route that hose all the way over to the front intake tube where the nipple for the purge control canister is just like the rear one. The stock PCV valve is just too week to keep pressure out of the heads and it's closed under boost meaning there's less ventilation.

Hes saying run a hose from the front valve cover to the front intake hose where the purge hose used to be connected if you've removed the purge canister

He should chime in as ive never attemped it. I think he meant replace the valve with a hose barb. Its a 1/8" BSPT thread but you can probably use a 1/8" NPT, it just wont screw in very far

Actually, you should leave the PCV valve because extra air gets sucked in thru a larger fitting and raises your idle.

The only problem is that the C5 has this special effect that makes you age 3 times as fast.

Ask Ox. Once he was a strapping young fellow, now he has grown a hunch, his hair has turned all grey, and he is getting arthritius in all of his joints. A fast, affordable, and decent looking car it may be, but BEWARE OF ITS EVIL!!!
