It’s in! How did it go? Everything line up including the firewall? You have been busy in that engine bay. All of your electrical is pulled. You’re planning on installing the eclipse harness still?

Someone is having some fun with color schemes. You keeping the intake and poking a hole in your hood?

Yeah walk me through this color scheme you got going on? Also that manifold looks like it’s just set on as I don’t see any bolts in it.

It's going to be blue with orange accents. The green patch is just some painters tape to keep the valve cover from getting scratched. I'll paint the intake when everything else is done. No sense is getting it all scraped up while I'm figuring out the hood situation. I'm going to see how big a hole I need to cut and then see if I can get some kind of small scoop or bulge to cover it.

The electrical is going to be a mix of Eclipse, Endeavor and original truck wiring. Should be fun. Gonna use the Eclipse ECU. E-throttle, coil on plug, MIVEC, the works.

The firewall pocket lined up perfectly. Lining up the clutch was a huge pain. At least I didn't have to push it part way outside though. I dropped the frame down on to some big rubber wheel chocks. That just barely got me enough vertical clearance to get the hoist high enough.

There's still a huge amount of work to be done. But it's close to being back on track after dragging my feet for months.

Im proud of you for not cutting out the front section to make it all fit and im impressed that you were able to do it inside your garage on those rubber blocks. I didnt want to risk it so I did it outside...in the spring time.

The good thing is that the heavy lifting is now done. On to the electrical, which you are a pro at.

Did Vira help drop the motor in? ;)

He asked me to help, then did it himself, to 'see if he could do it'.

That's Jeff... ;)

I’m wondering if she posted it and called him zod. That would be great.

Yea, we could use some clarification on the term Zod and its intended recipient.

I fought with it for a bit on my own while she was at the store. Then she came home, gave me some words of encouragement, and everything fit together shortly after :)

I had almost as much trouble with the engine mount bolts as I did with the clutch.

The 'kneel before Zod' thing was just because I had the truck 'kneeling' down. :p

Thats a clean truck. The price tag is severely over inflated though. You should be able to get it for $2,500.

Would this take the place of the Montero? If so a quick patch job and off you go.

What would I do with two of these?

The only person dumb enough to pay $2k for my Montero already owns it.

If you like it more than your current truck you could move everything over. Just depends on what you want.
