Same, factory on the newer trd 4Runners, these are knockoffs though. $180 shipped each.

I saw those at the tire place. They spoke highly of them.

thought i fucked up something in the driveline. Left for work the other day, immediately heard a loud tapping sound once i hit 40mph. Slowed down it stopped around 10mph, and started back up again once up to speed. Parked it, took the gti to work. Few days later (worked till dark each day) i pull up in the gti behind the parked lexus, see the spare tire hanging. The knobs at the tire shop somehow put the spare tire on upside down (wheel face down, spare tire holder grabbing onto the face instead of the mating surface), messing up the face of the wheel and i am assuming it didnt retract enough to engage the lock, or they just didnt tighten it enough.

It’s funny, I see that every once in a while when diving around. Always think…wouldn’t that make a horrible sound.

bags started to sag when off. Ordered a bilstein/ome lift kit. Could have just replaced the bags for a few hundred, but im sure the shocks are fucked as well with 160k on it. lead time is 2-3 weeks, bags will sometimes deflate after a few hours, but sometimes theyre fine.

Also, finally removed the side steps, fuck those things, looks so much better without em.

Do the tires rub?

Yeah, just a bit on the plastics. The drivers side ripped a part of the side step plastic off, which is why I finally removed them. Wouldn’t rub with a lift and a good alignment, but I didn’t care much

Also forgot to post this, but this is the new-hotness way of changing oil.

My dad has one for their boat but I'm not really sure it's all that much easier... Maybe on a newer Subaru where the filter is also up top.

I know it takes forever on our boat. We have a vacuum pump one. It’s manual hand pump but it takes over an hour.

I used the air on the Lexus and 6.6l took about 20 minutes. Gtis 6l took about the same just doing the manual pump and letting it siphon. I did give it a couple pumps but I think it was just siphoning mostly.

We also have always used 50w racing oil for the boat. That tiny tube takes a while.
