I think you missed my point. H3 will fare better off-road and in inclement weather.

I didn't. I just find the obsession with what people here think they need for winters ridiculous.

What do you mean by here? It’s relative to your situation. I’ve gone winters in fwd, rwd, awd, and 4x4. As you can imagine each have their advantage.

After living in Ohio with a RWD only pickup through their winters (lake effect snow), Pennsylvania and if you want them them winters in Oregon with FWD, AWD, and 4WD, and Wisconsin winters with 4WD, I can say that I prefer 4WD over the other two. Good tires + 4WD + knowledge > everything else in snow. Ice on the other hand, doesn't really matter. Good tires + good traction (chains/studs) is nice to have. I carry chains in the Jeep and Volt in the winter.

Only AWD I had was the VR4 though so might be a bit biased. Not sure how I would feel about something like a Subaru.

You think Rust-Oleum Rust Reformer will be good enough?

Hmmm :chin:

http://www.pcmofnc.com/product/hummer-h ... rder-tune/
Our performance tuning for the 2006-2012+ Hummer H3 typically yields 10-14hp and 1-3mpg (stock vehicles, more if modified), as well as better part throttle response, towing, driveability, and more pep off the line.

Ya. Not worth $200 for that.

Assuming it's legit, I don't know how you're going to get those kinds of gains on an NA engine for less money.

Seems like it might be for real.
You think Rust-Oleum Rust Reformer will be good enough?
I would bypass that. Just take a scotch pad quickly to to the frame. Rust oleum makes a good 2 in one paint that neutralizes rust and leaves a great paint finish.

I thought that's what Rust Reformer was? It's flat black and doesn't need a top coat.

I might be real, but for me at least, those low of numbers are not worth it.

Plus to me, tuning things like the H3 are pointless. I only see a purpose in tuning performance stuff.

You mean this?

If the rust is only superficial I like to use this as it holds up well.
