Re: Very cool build "Project Binky"
How many complex boards have you designed yourself that were perfect on the first try?
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Re: Very cool build "Project Binky"
Thats not the point, they didnt just design a board they made a whole workflow for making their own PCBS and they still had to design the board on top of that. In the time it took them to figure out how to build the PCBs they could have designed and ordered several cheap iterations of the actual boards.

You're right. I'd have much rather watched a video of Richard doing EagleCAD or KiCAD tutorials.

On the one hand I'm glad they did it. It's some wild attention to detail.
On the other hand, I wish they'd address the fact that it failed on its first time out of the garage. It's been 10 years (holy shit) and we've never seen it do more than roll around a grassy parking lot.

Yeah I feel like you can get really nice custom aftermarket gauges, instead of making your ownJeff V. wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 2:33 pm On the one hand I'm glad they did it. It's some wild attention to detail.

Still got the BOM mug you gave me Jeff.
Also still got the Onsie but I think I will sell that as it's too large for me and I never wear it.
