How many complex boards have you designed yourself that were perfect on the first try?

Thats not the point, they didnt just design a board they made a whole workflow for making their own PCBS and they still had to design the board on top of that. In the time it took them to figure out how to build the PCBs they could have designed and ordered several cheap iterations of the actual boards.

You're right. I'd have much rather watched a video of Richard doing EagleCAD or KiCAD tutorials.

On the one hand I'm glad they did it. It's some wild attention to detail.

On the other hand, I wish they'd address the fact that it failed on its first time out of the garage. It's been 10 years (holy shit) and we've never seen it do more than roll around a grassy parking lot.

Yeah I feel like you can get really nice custom aftermarket gauges, instead of making your own :lol:
