I've never seen a GTO in a Pick N Pull.

I did however see an 05 CTS (not V) in the staging area at one of the yards. Let me know if you want anything off it and I'll keep an eye out for when it goes out into the customer area.

I'll already be watching for non-scratched radio buttons. Those are usually hard to find in self service yards though.

Good eye... A couple of my dash vents are damaged but not sure off hand which ones. My sunroof control panel appears to have a broken clip or 2 also. Factory floormats come to mind also.......

I paid $35 for a 'replica' nav update for my S5. I'm sure we can find something for your car.

*edit*

Apparently Nissan/Infiniti map updates work in the CTS system...

Also, it looks like this is the car. No nav (of course). But maybe it'll give you some ideas. I'd expect it to be on the lot in another 2 weeks.

The latest nav update you can get is 2009. GM PN 09320NA.

I'll look into the Infiniti discs some more. Looks like it's Navteq, same as most OEM nav systems. It's just a matter of finding which updates work with your hardware.

Regular Car Reviews goes to the junkyard.

I'm not sure where this is, but KC junkyards are way nicer.

Where the hell are they that his friend thinks he needs to bring his Glock to a junk yard ? (The part by the red Explorer at around the 5:40 mark)

Got to see a giant metal fire up close today. I noticed the unmistable smell of burning metal at one point. I went to look outside and...yeah. It's not good when you text your firefighter friend and his reply is "HOLY SHIT."

Image

I'm glad I left when I did. It was getting gross. I could taste the air.

Image

You could even see it from near my house, about 15 miles away.

Haha. Yup. That’s one of those, I’m glad it’s not me, working fires.

Strait forward house fires can be fun. Metal fires. Those are always unknown if what’s going on. I mean think about what it took to start it. Why is it still burning. What would it take to put that out! Never fun.

One of the firemen was on the news talking about the challenges of just getting water to the thing due to the location of the hydrants and the size of the facility. They were also having to use some of the heavy equipment to try to pull the pile apart while it was still burning. That's nuts.

We have two industrial parks in my town. I’ve driven a fire truck to the middle of one because of that exact problem.

The dump sometimes catches on fire, it has to have heavy equipment dig it out. There are some trash compactors that are the same way as well. It sucks.

Fires are no joke. Smoke from commercial or industrial sites isn't good either. That's cancer shit that catches up to you later on. Good job getting out of there.

They say that engineers (pump operators) actually get the most of the cancer smoke as they are not only at a truck running high rpm with diesel but no matter what you do, you can’t always park so the house smoke stays away.

It’s also entirely possible that the drivers were fireman at one point as well and got exposed then too.

Bottom line, black smoke bad.
